Do Pressed Flowers Last Long?

Perhaps one of the many queries  that might come across the minds of some pressed flowers fans is  "Do these pressed flowers arrangements  last long?" Two factors that had been taken into consideration even while preparing the pressed flowers that are the presence of light and air.


The presence of air will  stimulate the deterioration of the pressed flowers and leaves. Then mites or bugs will appear. To avoid the deterioration and the existence of mites or bugs, once the flowers and leaves are arranged and glued, it will be laminated. Lamination was done  to  avoid the air to reach the leaves and flowers. 


Normal sunlight rays that shines through our rooms at day time will not deteriorate or decolourise the flowers and leaves. I have tried placing a few pressed flowers frame for nearly a year  and so far I did not see any deterioration or decolorisation of the leaves and flowers. The laminated pressed flowers would only decolorised if placed under direct sunlight for a
long time. For example if you placed it on the dashboard of your  car and left your car outside in the open sun, decolorisation might occur. Of course normally we don't place pressed flowers in cars but in our living or bedrooms, right? 

Therefore, pressed flowers fans, don't worry, InsyaAllah my pressed flowers in frame do last long because I've taken both factors into consideration.
